Bill relocated from Grande Prairie to Lethbridge in 2017 to enjoy, what he thought would be, retirement. That didn’t last long as Bill officially joined the professional team at Quintus Financial in January 2020 to help clients mitigate risk and actualize financial goals.
His passion for financial education and assisting his clients in securing their lives is what drives Bill. Outside of work Bill enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, welding, vehicle restoration and, most of all, spending time with family.

Born in Newfoundland, my family and I later travelled across Canada to Calgary in the early 80’s as my dad was in construction and out west was the place to be. As an Honour student in High School, I received a scholarship from the Calgary Board of Education for Career and Life Technology Studies as well as many other academic accolades. After graduation, I was accepted at Mount Royal College and studied Business Administration and Secretarial Arts.
While raising two children, I worked in various customer service and human resource positions, waiting for my ‘dream office job’ to present itself and to allow me to show my true talents. I was working in Calgary when I met my husband, Steve, and we moved to Lethbridge to start our new life together.
Since joining the Quintus Financial family in June of 2008, I feel that I have finally found the position that I was always dreaming of.

I have been a resident of Southern Alberta most of my life and am extremely proud to call Coaldale my home. I began my career in the financial services industry with a Canadian Chartered Bank in 1976. In 1992 I began to focus on offering investment advice to individual Canadians. It is gratifying to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Over the years I have built my investment advice practice by working with a diversified clientele and I enjoy working with a team of like minded professionals at Quintus Financial. I embrace the mission statement and code of conduct that has been adopted by the firm; in particular I recognize the value of forging trust relationships with each client.
My many years experience in the financial services industry have been complemented with many courses through the Institute of Canadian Bankers, The Financial Planner Standards Council, the Canadian Securities Institute, and Advocis.
I am a family man with a loyal and devoted wife and have three grown children. The addition of three grandchildren has brought much joy to my life.
The tremendous support I receive from my family allows me to spend many hours giving back to my community in many different ways.

My name is Genny Hunter-Barr; I work alongside Malcom in addition to helping out with the day to day operations Quintus Financial.
I have lived in many places as a child since my father was in the Air Force. I finally settled in Southern Ontario as an adult with my husband, Glenn, and our two daughters. After many years of dealing with traffic and big cities we decided we wanted cleaner air and a better community to raise our daughters.
We had come to visit family in Lethbridge a couple of times and decided this was the place for us. We decided to move here in the summer of 2007.
I have been at Quintus Financial since the fall of 2008 and love the welcoming family atmosphere that is always present in the office and at our client events.
